Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MySportsTeam at mysportsteam.app (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use MySportsTeam. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Description of Service

MySportsTeam is a team management platform that helps sports teams organize their activities. The Service includes:

• Team creation and member management
• Event scheduling and attendance tracking
• Waitlist and spare player management
• In-app messaging between team members
• Push notifications and email notifications

Account Registration

To use MySportsTeam, you must sign in using a Google or Microsoft account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your authentication credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date

You may not create multiple accounts for the same person or share your account with others.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use MySportsTeam to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional content
• Post illegal, defamatory, or obscene content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ accounts
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these rules, including suspending or terminating their account.

User Content

“User Content” includes any information, messages, team data, event details, or other content you create or share through the Service.

• Ownership: You retain ownership of your User Content.
• License: By posting User Content, you grant MySportsTeam a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.
• Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not violate any third party’s rights.

We do not monitor User Content proactively, but we may remove content that violates these Terms.

Team Management

• Team owners and administrators have authority over their teams, including the ability to add or remove members, create events, and manage team settings.
• Team members are subject to the rules set by their team’s owners and administrators.
• MySportsTeam is not responsible for decisions made by team owners or administrators regarding team membership or management.

Service Availability

We strive to keep MySportsTeam available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may:

• Perform maintenance that temporarily reduces availability
• Modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice
• Experience outages due to circumstances beyond our control

We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

Termination

• By you: You may stop using MySportsTeam at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us.
• By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to other users or to the platform.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• MySportsTeam shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MySportsTeam, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec, district of Montreal.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email.

Your continued use of MySportsTeam after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
